(1) What's Happening in Rotary: Mardy Holst, last year's President reviewed the previous year where the theme of the year was "The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands." The year started with a bang and kept momentum all year long. There were 28 Paul Harris Fellows. Programs informed, entertained, possessed variety and quality. Committees ran well and did a terrific job. Activities of the club accomplished a number of things including, but not limited to: Donations made to CF Historical Society,CF Woman's Club, Boy Scouts, Rainbow Club, Cedar Bend Humane Society, End Polio Now Fundraiser, and more. Several collaborative projects with other clubs were undertaken including different service projects, participation with Waterloo in the "Strictly Business", Family Picnics were reinstated, River Hills Playground project was finished, and the shoebox project for Nicuraga. Members represented the club at various District level functions. Foundation achieved its charitable tax status, guests from Poland were hosted, new member orientation conducted, sang at the North Cedar Variety Show, volunteered at Sturgis Falls. Longtime member, Marv Hoganbeck passed away during this year. Lost a number of members this past year for a variety of reasons. Overall a very good, and busy year.
